Issue #6/2014

MSM Dean Director Wim Naudé

If there is a theme in this newsletter, it is innovation-entrepreneurship-change. The DNA of MSM. Meaning we practice what we preach. In earlier newsletters I shared some new program innovations with you, such as our new MBA in Energy Management in Azerbaijan and our new Master in Management and Engineering with RWTH Aachen University in Germany, among others. In this newsletter we lead with a story from Ethiopia, where we are involved in a large-scale project to build university capacity in this country (one of the fastest growing in Africa). We are uniquely positioned in this regard. Not only do we understand the indigenous development of business schools and management education in emerging and low-income countries but we nurture South-South learning through our unique partnership-networks. For instance, we recently lead a dozen Presidents and Vice-President of Ethiopian Public Universities to visit, and exchange ideas, with counterparts in Beijing and Shanghai. It is therefore no wonder that our Maastricht MBA class is the most global and diverse, and the most exciting in the Netherlands. The deadline for enrollment in the 2014-2015 class is fast approaching – make sure your application makes it in time, and see you soon in Maastricht.
