The Dean’s introduction...by Ms. Beverly Best, MBA32 |
|
|
This is usually the space filled by the foreword to the monthly newsletter by MSM’s Dean, Professor Wim Naudé. This month however, the MBA students of MSM have decided to give Professor Naudé a (well-deserved) break. Therefore, as class representative, it is my pleasure to introduce this summer newsletter from Maastricht. Especially so since this newsletter is a special issue focusing on the highlights of the past year at MSM as experienced by the MBA32 students. Our year at MSM is almost done, and as we prepare for Graduation on the 8th of September, let us look back at a fantastic year. If anything explains my 2015-2016 tenure at Maastricht School of Management (MSM) as an MBA student, is what I describe as “a potent cocktail of opportunities and ingenuity”. I have cherished the opportunity to study and share experiences with other students from 5 of the 7 continents of the world (representing over 23 countries) as well as many privileged discussions with my professors. These invaluable occasions have consistently motivated and challenged me to rethink my paradigm of the global business environment. MSM’s environment and MBA program indeed gave resonance to my career plans… Hence, enthused by an appetite for enhancing my skills and knowledge within a culturally diverse environment, MSM did not fail to satisfy this desire. MSM in particular and Maastricht in general, is the perfect place to pursue an MBA program. This newsletter provides only a very small reflection of the unforgettable and worthwhile learning experience afforded to me by MSM during my pursuit of its MBA program.
