Introduction

This month we highlighted and celebrated International Women’s Day with the uplifting stories of four winners of MSM’s MBA Women Ambassador Scholarships, each of whom chose to challenge gender inequality in their home countries of Peru, Mongolia, Venezuela and Belgium. We also heard Dr. Caren Crowley’s recommendations on re-building a more supportive and effective post-COVID 19 entrepreneurial ecosystem for women’s entrepreneurship.

February was a busy month for our international capacity-building projects in the Sahel region and South Africa. We kicked off the Sahel RESCOM project with a series of regional and national events paving the way for further local collaboration and data collection.  In the South African provinces of Free State, Limpopo and Mpumalanga, MSM and its local partner Stellenbosch University launched a Triple Helix Platform to stimulate local policymakers, academics, farmers to work together for the development of water-smart agri-business practices.

Do you know the six top skills most wanted among employers? Read the findings of our research investigation on this topic, and learn how our Master in Management allows you to develop these skills. In this newsletter you will also read more about the recently completed Decision Making Tools module of the full-time MBA and we again introduce you to one of the lecturers. We also highlight the power of the MSM MBA Mentorship program.

With a kind reminder to check the several deadlines for program applications and early bird fees coming up ahead, we wish you a stimulating start into the spring season.
