MSM and CBA deliver 21 new leaders in Yemen

Sana’a University Center for Business Administration (CBA) in partnership with Maastricht School of Management (MSM) celebrated the graduation of the fourth intake of the joint Executive MBA program. After two years of hard work, determination and perseverance 21 Executive MBA graduates received their well-deserved degree on 23 August 2014 at the Sana’a Movenpick hotel.

The graduates could enjoy inspirational and praising speeches delivered by Yemen’s Minister of Finance Dr. Mohammed Zimam; Sana’a University Rector Dr. Abdulhakim Alsharjaby; CBA Deputy Director, Dr. Abdulkareem Al-Sayyaghi and the Netherlands Ambassador Mr. Aldrik Gierveld.

The Netherlands Ambassador Mr. Aldrik Gierveld praised the level of partnership between the Netherlands and the Republic of Yemen, and hailed the success of the partnership between the University of Sana’a and Maastricht School of Management.

On behalf of his classmates Mr. Ali Dhafer thanked all attendees at the ceremony and the professors of CBA. He added that “their thanks would not only be words, but achievements that will lead Yemen to better times.”

The CBA is part of Sana’a University, the largest and oldest public university in Yemen with over 100,000 students graduating every year from 174 specializations spread over 12 faculties. The Executive MBA program was established in 2005 as a project funded by the Dutch government through Nuffic. In 2009 CBA and MSM signed a collaborative agreement to jointly offer the Executive MBA program.
