MSM-UM integration to boost the MSM Experience!

Since announcing to join forces in May 2013, MSM and the UM have been deepening its collaboration. In September 2014 the MaastrichtMBA was launched as a joint program. Now, the collaboration is going to a new level with the governing bodies of MSM and Maastricht University deciding that MSM should proceed to become a full part of the Maastricht University.

On 24 February MSM Dean Wim Naudé and Staff and Faculty gathered in a packed MSM Business Lounge to discuss how this opportunity could best be utilized as a win-win for both MSM and the UM. All present were excited at the prospect that MSM, with its rich 63-year history and experience of business and postgraduate education in emerging economies, will be complimenting the UM with its strong local links, research strength, excellent ranking and large pool of undergraduate students. Dean Naudé announced that he is putting in place a number of task teams that will start working on a detailed step-wise plan to optimize the integration for MSM. Furthermore, various steps will be taken to ensure wide consultation within the MSM community during this phase. The aim is to raise the MSM Experienceto even greater heights!
