Tailor-made training results in master plan for Risk Management for Anti-Money Laundering

Following the 2 week visit to MSM of 20 high civil servants from the Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK-INTRAC) in November last year for the tailor made program on a Risk Management System for Anti-Money Laundering, the 3^rd week of this training was recently successfully completed at the offices of PPATK in Jakarta, Indonesia.

During this week the participants were coached by MSM to finalize the master plan on Risk Management for Anti-Money Laundering for presentation to the Board of Directors of PPATK.

Each year PPATK receives more than 2 million fraud reports from 91.000 reporting units in the country and the organization is currently facing limited capacity to deal with all these reports. As such the master plan focused on corruption, financing of terrorism and drug money laundering.
As a first step the Business Intelligence Unit will be built out with manpower and quality in order to set up a system for prioritizing the analysis of the fraud reports.

After the presentation the Board of PPATK approved the plan for implementation and complimented the team for their strong commitment and excellent work.

This tailor-made training provided by MSM was funded by Nuffic. During the last day the Nuffic/Neso office in Jakarta was briefed on the outcome of the program. They realized the importance of the topic for the country and highly valued the result of this MSM tailor-made training.
