M.Sc. in Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering

Maastricht School of Management (MSM) and RWTH Aachen University recently expanded their collaboration.

In addition to the successful and highly in-demand MSc degrees in Management and Engineering in Production Systems (PSE) and Management and Engineering in Electrical Power Systems (EPS), the two institutions have recently launched a new MSc in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering. During this past month this program underwent the site visit for its German accreditation (ASIIN).

The program will start in October 2016, and since applications opened a huge number has been submitted, reflecting huge popularity – especially from highly schooled and motivated candidates in emerging economies.

The M.Sc. in Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering is a two-year full-time industrial engineering program that provides you, on the one hand, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of finite element methods, numerical methods, simulation, mechanics, software engineering and production management, and on the other hand with business, management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

The program comprises two semesters of lectures, exercises and practical courses in mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University along with eighteen-week management training at Maastricht School of Management. The RWTH School of Business and Economics also contributes three management modules during the first two semesters. The final Master Thesis in the fourth semester is an independent, pre-defined scientific project to be completed in a fixed period of six months and can be written either at the RWTH Aachen University or at Maastricht School of Management. The Master Thesis is generally concluded by an oral presentation (Master’s Defense Colloquium).

The scientific leadership of the M.Sc. in Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering lies with the Institute of General Mechanics (IAM) of the RWTH Aachen University.

RWTH international academy

In the QS World University Rankings 2015, RWTH Aachen was ranked number 12 in the world for mechanical engineering.
