MSM's Sport Management MBA to link to Formula 1 Racing

MSM Dean, Professor Wim Naudé recently visited Williams F1 in Grove, Oxfordshire, to explore collaboration. MSM and Williams F1 plan to organize a field trip for its Executive MBA students in the near future to explore, learn from Williams F1 and brainstorm about the nature of business models currently used in international motorsport.

Motorsport is big business. The Formula One (F1) races for instance are watched by over 400 million spectators and attracts more than € 1 billion in sponsorships and € 500 million in government support every year. For a nice infographic about the business of F1, click here.

MSM’s high-octane Executive MBA in Sport Management is about to link up with motorsport, and specifically plans to give its students a unique insight into understanding the business of F1, including the role of sponsorships, branding, marketing, innovation, entrepreneurship, sports data analytics to improve racing performance, and customer engagement.
