MSM Executive MBA attracts top management talent

Maastricht School of Management’s Executive MBA program kicked off with a new intake on 1 October 2016 in Maastricht. MSM Dean Professor Wim Naudé welcomed 33 students from 14 different countries and gave an introductory lecture on the growth of emerging markets and the imperative of good management to enable organisations to be successful in doing business across borders. In his overview the growing role for emerging economies in the world market was reflected in the fact that by 2050 no European country would be in the top 10 of the largest economies in the world.

He referred to MSM’s “almost 65-year history in working in and with emerging and developing economies”, and the resulting strong global focus that this imparts to MSM’s quadruple-accredited Executive MBA.

“The Executive MBA is in many ways the pinnacle of a business school education”, Naudé said, pointing out that the “admission requirements are tough, the course content demanding, the tempo vigorous and the standards exacting”.

MSM’s Executive MBA follows a modular format, and offers specialisations in International Business and Sustainable Development, Healthcare Management, and Sports Management. The current cohort consists of entrepreneurs and top managerial talent from a wide range of leading companies, many of them in the sports, health and retail industries, including Shell, Microsoft, Maastro Clinic, Medtronic, Topsport Limburg, Hamelin, Islamic Development Bank, and others.

During the first week of October the program will focus on lectures on marketing in the global context, logistics and supply chain management, and include work visits to DLL Financial Solutions and SABIC.
