The three new academic are excited to start at Maastricht School of Management. What are they most looking forward to?

Arnoud Franken looks forward to further develop and strengthen the unique relationship with RWTH Aachen University. Further, he plans to develop Executive Education Programs on ‘Strategy in the Face of Uncertainty’ and ‘Realizing Benefits from Strategic Change Initiatives’. To achieve success in today’s complex, fast-evolving, and uncertain business world more effectively, Arnoud researched the strategy making practices of leading organizations such as Virgin Atlantic, InterContinental Hotels Group, the Royal Marines Commandos for many years. In particular, how to quickly engage people, identify new possibilities, and turn complex and ambiguous issues into focused action plans that inspire and deliver value at pace. As a Professor of Strategy at MSM, he shares these insights around the world through lectures and workshops.

Wynand Bodewes hopes to create new teaching cases, expand MSM’s European engagement in short Executive programs, and he looks forward to co-create new and relevant scholarly insights with DBA and PhD candidates at MSM. Wynand is keen on collaborating with ambitious entrepreneurs. For him, smallness is only but a temporary characteristic of true entrepreneurship. In these activities Wynand will build on his considerable experience in working with and for entrepreneurs. He was one of the founding fathers and the initial academic director of the degree program that later evolved into the current Entrepreneurship MSc program at the Rotterdam School of Management. In 2009 Wynand returned to Maastricht University to help build and deliver an outstanding portfolio of entrepreneurship courses to students in many of the university’s degree programs. During his tenure with Maastricht University Wynand also taught at the KU Leuven as a Visiting professor of Entrepreneurship. At the KU Leuven he was instrumental to the introduction of an MSc track in (Technology) Entrepreneurship.

Pascal Hardy finds a business school like MSM, with its global footprint, commitment to sustainable development and entrepreneurial flair and ideal environment in which to pursue her career.  Before joining MSM she worked in senior and professorial positions in France, UK and Switzerland including the management of a leading professional doctorate program.  She has played a leading role in international research projects with partners including the European Commission, UN, World Bank, OECD and organizations of developed and developing countries.  She has authored books in the areas of Knowledge Management, Open Education and E-learning and her work has appeared in Computers & Education, E-learning and Digital Media and presented at the Academy of Management Conference.
