MSM shares best practice in international education in Melbourne, Australia

Ms. Kati Kovacs, MSM’s Associate Dean Global Education Programs presented at the 30th AIEC Conference themed ‘Connectivity – at the heart of international education’ in Melbourne on 20 October 2016. Her presentation was titled: Redefining transnational education: trends, experiences and expectations, Case study in TNE: Maastricht School of Management.

Ms. Kovacs first introduced MSM and its global outreach and history to the participants. Shekati-kovacs-web also talked about the current trends in transnational education and accreditations but not before the presentation turned into an interactive session as the participants were very interested in how to develop and maintain such a great global network. Ms. Kovacs also had discussions in another session with colleagues from the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), the accreditation body for Australian Higher Education, where fruitful exchanges took place regarding the quality of education delivered by offshore providers both face to face and online.

The conference theme was especially fitting with MSM’s mission and strategy as the Australian Government just introduced in May this year the new National Strategy for International Education 2025. This strategy outlines that Australia will aim to significantly expand its market access, especially in new and emerging regions by strengthening collaboration through institution-to-institution partnerships.

MSM looks forward to contributing to the achievement of the new 2025 Australian Higher Education Strategy.
