MSM continues to climb in Eduniversal rankings

In the recent rankings of business schools by Eduniversal, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) moved up in the MBA rankings to #11 in Europe, from place #14 in 2015. We also retained our #2 place ranking in the Netherlands and our 4 Palmes of Excellence, signifying that MSM is classified as a “Top Business School internationally known”.

MSM’s Associate Dean Global Education Programs Ms. Kati Kovacs attended the Eduniversal World Convention during which she accepted the ranking award on behalf of MSM. The convention took place in Perth, Australia and was hosted by Curtin University. This was the occasion to announce the rankings for the Best 1,000 Business Schools in 154 countries and to reward the Top 28 Business Schools in 9 geographical zones.

eduniversal-1Ms. Kovacs was also a panelist for two discussions during the conference, Innovations in Delivery and Working with Private Providers and Innovation and Best Practices in International Education: Global experiences, quality delivery and brand enhancement. Ms. Kovacs spoke about the differences between private and public providers in Higher Education in the context of program adaptation to the changing market demands but also pointed out the associated risk present with the low quality fly-by-night institutions and fake degree granting bodies.

Ms. Kovacs emphasized to the audience that as highly ranked institutions it’s our responsibility to ensure that not only we provide access to higher education but that we help other institutions to offer these programs at minimum quality requirements in an effort to protect the students. Finally she spoke about the innovative practices in Higher Education, and gave the examples of MSM introducing new specialization such as the Healthcare and Sports MBA programs, Digital Transformations courses, emergency management specializations, the thriving partnership with Technical universities such as our MME program with RWTH Aachen University and our role in the establishment of ATHEA. The days prior to the conference Ms. Kovacs had fruitful discussions with colleagues at Curtin University and explored possible collaborations between the two institutions.
