Grasp the opportunities of the 4th Industrial Revolution

Exciting technologies such as the Internet of Things, Big Data, Robotics, Mass Customization and Artificial Intelligence are changing the nature of all industries, in a process described by the World Economic Forum as a 4th Industrial Revolution.

This revolution will up-end consumer and labor markets and as such holds serious threats, but also opportunities, for entrepreneurs and managers. To understand these implications better, Maastricht School of Management and RWTH Aachen University Business School are organizing an international conference that will take place in Aachen and Maastricht, on 21-22 November 2017.

The conference will be a companion conference of the 9th Mass Customization and Personalization Conference (MCPC 2017) that will take place at RWTH Aachen University on 19-21 November 2017. The MCPC 2017 will explore how smart products and services, digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and related technological enablers can create a new breed of mass customization business models, one that is also more sustainable and is creating shared value for customers, companies, and the environment. Participants of the MSM Research conference are invited to participate at the MCPC 2017 for a discounted fee.

The organizers of the MSM Research Conference invite proposals for papers on the topics listed at the conference website. The deadline for submission of abstracts (max. 400 words) is 30 September 2017 and should be send to research@msm.nl. The conference organization is led by Professor Wim Naudé (MSM) and Professor Frank Piller (RWTH Aachen University).
