October was again another exciting month at MSM. We maintained our top position in the Eduniversal 4 Palmes of Excellence ranking and celebrated the Graduation Ceremony at our partner universities in Hungary and Kazakhstan. Students from our partner university CENTRUM Católica in Peru visited MSM for their study attachment abroad while also the students from our partner university Nichols College in the USA arrived in Maastricht. MSM truly brings the world to Maastricht! We also participated in projects in the areas of gender equality and in mental health for Syrian refugee children. Graduation in Hungary: Hungary's top businesses celebrating their joint MSM and SEED MBA degree |

SEED (School for Executive Education & Development), MSM’s Degree Partner in Budapest, Hungary, celebrated their inaugural MBA graduation on 11 October 2018. MSM’s Dean a.i, Ms. Kati Kovacs, and the Founder Director of SEED, Dr. Anthony Radev, presented the graduates with their MSM MBA diplomas in front of friends and family. |

Women on the rise in Ethiopia |

On the day that the first female President of Ethiopia was inaugurated, university leaders undersigned the Roadmap to Gender equality in Eastern Ethiopian universities during a workshop at Haramaya University. This marked the end of a participative, bottom-up process, facilitated by MSM and funded by Nuffic. |

MSM and AUB collaborate on project to improve the mental health of Syrian refugee children |

|
Together with the American University of Beirut (AUB) MSM will start a 12 month project named; Safe and Sound (SaS) in Lebanon. The aim of the project is on improving the mental health of Syrian refugee children in primary and secondary schools through community and family-based psychosocial support. |

Constitutional Court of Indonesia and MSM to partner in management and leadership training |

A delegation of the Indonesia Constitutional Court (Mahkammah Konstitusi Republik indonesia, MKRI), headed by Dr. Guntur Hamzah, Secretary General visited MSM. The court has identified MSM as partner for training non-legal staff on a variety of management and leadership topics. |

From 01 until 05 October a group of 18 senior Civil Servants of the Indonesian Court of Audit visited MSM for a one week tailor made program on ”Effective Soft & Communication Skills for Leaders” |

Unlocking leadership potential with MSM's Mastering Leadership program |
||
|
From 8 – 19 October 2018, 20 participants from 11 different cultures participated in the Mastering Effective Leadership program. The program - which consists of one week Personal Leadership Skills and one week Team Leadership Influencing Skills – is created to develop the leadership skills of current and future leaders to become more successful at work and in life. |
