As we conclude the 2025–2026 academic year, Maastricht School of Management (MSM-UM) is thrilled to celebrate remarkable achievements, global recognition, and impactful international collaborations.
On campus, "learning beyond the classroom" took center stage. MSM Corporate Week 2026 connected students with industry leaders, while our immersive MBA Summer School welcomed a diverse, global cohort of 188 students across six specialized expertise tracks. We also hosted two Executive MBA tracks from Nanjing University (NJU) and co-hosted the joint MSM-NJU Academic Conference exploring the green economy.
Innovation and capacity-building advanced significantly this quarter. Our May 2024 Executive PhD participants successfully defended their Research Frameworks, clearing the path for data collection on global business trends. Abroad, our Expert Centre on Emerging Economies (ECEE) spearheaded vital capacity-building initiatives focusing on quality assurance, digital transformation, and AI in higher education. Furthermore, our Erasmus+ mobility project for Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) took partners to Greece to explore innovative agrifood ecosystems, the Erasmus+ Greening Ethiopia initiative hosted a workshop in Addis Ababa to co-create a university sustainability assessment framework, and the MOBILISE project hosted a successful entrepreneur pitching competition in Tunis.
Our commitment to excellence was validated by outstanding 2026 ranking updates. In CEO Magazine’s Global MBA Rankings, Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) strengthened its premier standing: our Full-Time MBA retained its Tier One status, and the Online MBA secured 3rd place globally. Furthermore, MSM’s open executive programmes, as part of SBE, were again recognized in the global Financial Times Executive Education Open-enrolment Ranking.
Thank you to the entire MSM community for your dedication.
