MSM initiates Ethiopian Agribusiness Advisory Committee

On Wednesday 13 December at the Netherlands Embassy in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), the Advisory Committee for the Executive MBA in Agribusiness of Jimma University was formally installed. Initiated by MSM, this committee is established to advise, assist, support and advocate Jimma University on agribusiness sectoral relevance and - cooperation in education, research and outreach, in which the Executive MBA program is a key program.

The Committee is comprised of founders and General Managers of agricultural production and processing companies, the President of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce, the Chairman of the Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association, and the Agricultural Counselor of the Netherlands. Huub Mudde (MSM) is asked by the Committee to act as technical chairperson.

The Committee stressed the importance of a hands-on, business-oriented MBA program with international standards targeting future leaders in the Ethiopian agribusiness sector. Jimma University, supported by MSM and Wageningen University, is planning to launch the program in March 2018. This program will be the first of its kind in Ethiopia.
