Introduction

Following MSM’s integration in the Maastricht University (UM) School of Business and Economics (SBE), we officially moved to the Tapijnkazerne in Maastricht in September 2022. To celebrate this important milestone, MSM staff was welcomed by Dr. Nick Bos, Vice-President UM, and Prof. Dr. Mariëlle Heijltjes, Dean of SBE. MSM's CEO, Meinhard Gans, thanked the UM for its continuous efforts in the integration process the past years. He also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome. We look forward to a bright future together! A few days later, we received our first batch of students at the Tapijnkazerne campus to kick off their study programme with the introduction weeks, the ultimate opportunity to get to know each other, their study location and the city of Maastricht.

In this newsletter, we also look back at two successful events, which took place in the last week before our move. On 14 September 2022, MSM celebrated its 70-year anniversary with a hybrid Global Network Conference. This special event brought together MSM’s global network of partners and provided the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge through plenary presentations and breakout sessions.

We closed the Conference with the launch of our 70- year video, highlighting MSM's key achievements and activities over the past 70 years and demonstrating MSM’s contribution to global management. We invite you to have a look at this video, available in the last section of this newsletter.

The day after the Conference, we celebrated Graduation Day, honouring the achievements and hard work of our students. It is with a great sense of pride that we look back on this festive day.

MSM's short executive programmes run throughout the year. Recently, we completed the highly valued Women Entrepreneurship Policy programme, stimulating the participation of women in business. Don't forget to take a look at our upcoming short executive programmes, starting from early 2023 onwards.

There are also many updates in our capacity development projects. In this newsletter, you can read more about the SEAD West Project in Rwanda, the SAS21 project in Indonesia and a workshop on Gender Responsive Research and Community Outreach in Ethiopia.
