In Memoriam – Dr. Mohi Ahmed Reda Mohi Badr
We are very saddened by the passing away of Dr. Mohi Ahmed Reda Mohi Badr.
Dr. Mohi Badr was a participant in the short executive programme Small Agribusiness Development.
Dr. Badr was a veterinarian, epidemiologist, Public Health specialist and livestock production expert from Egypt. He was currently working as Senior Executive Manager for sustainable livestock production department affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.
Dr. Mohi Badr will be remembered for his active participation in discussions, his enthusiasm and engagement during the course. He was a kind and polite man, curious about the world, interested in people and not afraid to speak the truth, including the need for his country to modernise. This was also one of the reasons for him to follow the Small Agribusiness Development programme.
Dr. Badr suddenly passed away on 7 March 2023 in Maastricht at the age of 36.
Our hearts go out to Dr. Mohi Badr’s family, friends and colleagues. We wish them the strength and courage to bear this painful loss.
