Introduction

In the last newsletter just before the summer holidays, we would like to share the many highlights we enjoyed at MSM in the past weeks. We maintained a strong position in the CEO Magazine Global MBA rankings. Additionally, as part of SBE, our programmes have been included in the global top 80 by the Financial Times, showcasing our commitment to quality and impact. This year, MSM hosted another successful Academic Conference on the Future of Work: Challenges and Opportunities in a Disrupted world, featuring keynotes and paper presentations. More can be read about the conference in this newsletter.

In May, we welcomed the second intake of the Executive PhD for three on-campus workshops. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Executive MBA students from Nanjing University to our campus, who were able to enjoy classes, guest lectures and work visits. MSM's annual Corporate Week took place, where our residential students enjoyed company and alumni presentations, workshops and trainings, all aimed at preparing the students for the job market.

In the past weeks, many international students joined our campus for the Short Executive Programmes. In this newsletter, you can read more about their experiences in the Gender Equality and Women Empowerment programme and the Change Management programme. The upcoming programmes and deadline can be found later on in this newsletter.

Within our capacity building projects, we also celebrated many highlights. MSM and its project partners in Kenya and Indonesia celebrated the success of the “Generative AI’s Transformative Effect on Professions" project. In Burundi, the “Strengthening the appeal of a bright future in agriculture to youth through entrepreneurship and innovation” project was launched. In addition, MSM's Expert Centre on Emerging Economies (ECEE) finalised a project in Rwanda called “Strengthening Education for Agricultural Development in the Western Province of Rwanda”.

We are now looking towards the future, where we are busy preparing for our 2024 graduation, and the start of our next Master in Management, Full-time MBA and Global Flex Online MBA intakes.

The MSM team wishes you all an excellent and relaxing summer holiday!
