MSM's Dr. Stephanie Jones receives 2019 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award

MSM is proud to announce that Dr. Stephanie Jones, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at MSM has been named a regional recipient of the 2019 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) recognizes individuals each year who exemplify teaching excellence in the classroom.

“I'm thrilled to get this award and it has a lot to do with the variety and stimulus of working for MSM - and the constant challenges of working with very bright and active students who keep inspiring us to keep trying to do our best!!” says Dr. Jones.

As a regional recipient, Dr. Jones is a candidate for the international award. Two International Teaching Excellence Award recipients, one from a baccalaureate/graduate degree-granting institution and one from an associate degree-granting institution, will be announced at the Salute to Regions ceremony held on Sunday 23 June, during the ACBSP Conference 2019 in Houston, USA.

“Dr. Jones has an excellent track record in teaching, being consistently ranked as one of MSM’s best teachers in our student evaluations. Moreover, given MSM’s international network, Dr. Jones can be teaching one week in Egypt, the next in Vietnam, followed by China, Kuwait or Lima. She is tireless, full of energy and she adapts effortlessly to her teaching environment, demonstrating her ease with the multicultural diversity that MSM teaching requires,” said Dr. Stuart Dixon, Academic Coordinator MBA program at MSM.

The ACBSP Associate Degree Commission established the International Teaching Excellence Award in 1995 to recognize outstanding classroom teachers. In 2002, the Baccalaureate Degree Commission created a similar award to recognize excellence in teaching at the baccalaureate/graduate degree level. ACBSP is the only specialized body for business schools that presents an award recognizing excellence in teaching, open to application by the entire membership.

ACBSP is a specialized accreditation agency for business education with a focus on teaching excellence. ACBSP is the only global accrediting body to accredit business, accounting, and business-related programs at all degree levels. MSM’s residential and global MBA programs, Master in Management programs and running DBA programs are ACBSP accredited.
