Carnival in Maastricht
It was the time of the year again, when the streets and people in Maastricht are defined by the three colors red, yellow and green! Carnival took over the city of Maastricht, and of course we could not stay behind…
MsM organized a Carnival gathering to allow students to get acquainted with this Limburg tradition. Unique costumes, music, food, drinks were all present during this successful celebration and we even had the privilege to acclaim our own Prince of Carnival, Prince Olugbenga I from Nigeria: “Being the Prince of Carnival was a very interesting, challenging and rewarding experience for me. I was very honored to act as the Prince of this prestigious event at the Maastricht School of Management. I especially enjoyed the part where students had to guess who I was. Some of them were very good at detecting voices even though I tried very hard to conceal my real voice. The music was nice, students were very well entertained and thoroughly enjoyed the music, the dance, and the carnival quizzes. It was a real carnival event which we all enjoyed.”
