MSM receives ATHEA institutional accreditation

The Association for Transnational Higher Education Accreditation (ATHEA) has awarded MSM institutional accreditation on April 3rd, 2017. ATHEA is a voluntary, non-governmental, membership association that is dedicated to quality assurance through institutional accreditation.

Following a successful site visit in January, the Board of Commissioners awarded the accreditation at their April meeting during the 2nd Annual Conference held in Berlin. The commissioners commended MSM for its strong mission and vision, diverse and inspiring faculty, staff and student involvement within the local community and business.

Ms. Kati Kovacs, Associate Dean Global Education Programs emphasized this new step for MSM as this is the first institutional accreditation, now including the strongly developing executive program portfolio. Receiving ATHEA accreditation will not only allow MSM to expand its accredited program portfolio to include programs such as engineering, healthcare, public administration, among others but it will also allow us to continue shaping higher education and enable institutions to deliver quality education. We look forward to working with ATHEA in the years ahead.

The ATHEA standards are based on the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESG) required for recognition by the European Quality Assurance Register in Higher Education (EQAR). ATHEA welcomes institutions from around the world, from fields including but not limited to business education. MSM is founding member of the association and secured candidacy in 2016. Current members include institutions and universities both from Europe and the US.
