MBA graduate receives best thesis award from the Union of Economists in Suriname
The Union of Economists in Suriname (Vereniging van Economisten in Suriname - VES) has awarded Raj Paltantewari for the best socio-economic thesis of 2018. Raj Paltantewari graduated from the 11th intake of the MBA program, jointly offered by MSM and FHR Lim A Po Institute for Higher Education in Suriname. The award ceremony took place on 23 January 2019.
Raj’s thesis with the title “The motivational factors that influence youth to venture into entrepreneurship in a government-oriented business environment” outlines the motives among young people to become entrepreneurs. The thesis was supervised by David J. Dingli, Assistant Professor in Operations Management at Maastricht School of Management.
The thesis award represents a value of USD 1000, sponsored by the Trustbank Amanah.
Since 2016 VES issues the award for the best socio-economic thesis every year to students from the vocational and higher education in Suriname. In January 2017, the award went to Nisha Soehka, graduate from the 10th intake of the joint MSM-FHR Lim A Po MBA program.
