Project Management and Entrepreneurship in Rabat and Tangier
Maastricht School of Management (MSM) recently offered two Executive Education programs, respectively in project and entrepreneurship as refresher courses for its alumni in the Middle East and North African region.
Collaborating with the Dutch institute for higher education and scientific research (NIMAR) in Rabat, and the Abdelmalek Essaadi University (AEU) in Tangier, the courses were attended by 26 executives in Rabat and Tangier, Morocco between 13 and 22 October 2014.
The Executive Programs were prepared and delivered by an MSM team consisting of Patrick Martens, Dafir Kramer, Rui Santos and Mieke van Riet. Yasmina Sarhrouny, MSM alumnus, and Chaker El Amrani from Abdelmalek Essaadi University also contributed to the programs, as well as Dr. Wynand Bodewes, the Chief Entrepreneurship Officer of MSM’s partner institution in Maastricht, the Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship (MC4E).

Consisting of lectures, assignments and site visits, the programs also included a networking dinner for all participants at the Residence of Dutch ambassador H.E. Mr. Strikker in Rabat. A number of Moroccan alumni who had studied in the Netherlands were also invited to join. In his address Ambassador H.E. Mr. Strikker remarked positively on the regional representation and diversity of the participant group from a number of countries in the MENA region and beyond, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Iraq and Pakistan. Ambassador H.E. Mr. Strikker further expressed his appreciation of MSM's work in the region highlighting the partnership on the programs with NIMAR and the Abdel Malek Essaadi University.
