With November already on us and Maastricht basking in the warm gold and red colours of autumn, we can look back on a month marked by unprecedented engagement by MSM on global business education and business fora. We helped organize and hosted the IACBE’s International Conference and European Regional Assembly Meeting in Maastricht, and focused this gathering of more than 50 leaders from business schools and related organizations on a theme where MSM has unparalleled experience: business school global partnerships. Then, we played a leading role in the creation of ATHEA – the Association for Transnational Higher Education Accreditation – which was established in Brussels on 21 October. We are proud that MSM’s Associate Dean Ms. Katalin Kovacs has been elected as President of the Board of Directors of ATHEA and wish her well in furthering quality global education. MSM also contributed to the international Business Forum of the European Azerbaijan Society in Brussels, where we shared our experiences and lessons in establishing a successful educational partnership with ADA University in Azerbaijan (the first students recently graduated from our Executive MBA program in Baku). As we reach out to play a global role in business education, we remain passionate about linking our international body of students and faculty with the Euregio and Limburg in particular. In this regard we were delighted to welcome a further cohort of students into our joint M.Sc programs in Management and Engineering with RWTH Aachen University, strengthening a unique transnational educational partnership in our dynamic region. Being a partner of the Connect Limburg initiative, MSM is excited about their recent “cross-border Limburg branding video” – I can recommend a visit to their website: there you can also read about the cross-border business tour and dinner our MBA students recently took part in, and which made a deep impression on local businesses.
