Two Nobel laureates in Economics to speak at MSM’s co-sponsored conference

Professor Mike Spence and Professor Jim Heckman, Nobel Laureates in Economics, will be presenting the keynote speeches at the 9th International Symposium on Multinational Business Management on Nanjing, China, on 20th June 2017.

This international conference is co-sponsored and organized by Maastricht School of Management and its long-standing partner in China, the Nanjing University Business School. Other co-organization business schools include the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management, and the Sydney Business School.

MSM’s professor Wim Naudé, who is vice-chairperson of the conference’s planning committee, is particularly delighted at the theme of this year’s conference, which is on Entrepreneurship, Organizational Change and Employment Management. ‘MSM is the leading business school in the Netherlands as far as research and teaching in entrepreneurship in emerging markets are concerned’, he explained, ‘and in this high-level conference we look forward to strengthening the impact of our high-quality research programs and establish new projects and programs for joint research, also in line with our growing connections in the USA’.

The submission deadline for the conference has passed, and the response ‘has been tremendous’, says Professor Naudé. ‘We look forward to share with our students and partners the outcome of this event, and we already look forward to work with Nanjing University Business School on the 10th edition of the conference in 2018’.
